Why Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a Failure

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Samsung has just added a new tablet to its lineup for Galaxy Tab Series. Its new edition is called Galaxy Tab 10.1. In my humble opinion, it is a total failure. A disaster for the company and disappointment to fans all over the world.

The design is good, sleek and stylish. But in an attempt to compete with iPad, It made loads of compromises on functionality and usability. It is not a phone and its not a computer as well, so what is it good for? Browsing the internet! Yeah, you can do that on it.samsung-galaxy-tablet-10.1

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Flash enabled browser. That’s great. But the good news stops here… For everything else, you need an adapter.  I hate lists but here is my list of things I hate and love about new tablet.

Things I Love about Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

  1. Its Andriod 3.0 HoneyComb
  2. It has WiFi Built-in
  3. It has Flash Support so web browsing is great
  4. It is light-weight
  5. It is slim
  6. It is cheap
  7. It multi-touch

Things I hate about Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

  1. It has short battery Life
  2. Back Camera is 3.0 Mega Pixel and front is 2.0
  3. No GPS
  4. No Mobile Network
  5. No 3G Network , No Edge Connectivity
  6. No USB Port
  7. No SD Card Slot
  8. No HDMI Output
  9. Non Standard Charger Cable 30pin
  10. No Stylus
  11. No TV out Cable

So verdict is out, I have 11 reasons to hate and only 7 to love the new Galaxy Tab 10.1. I will not have it even if someone pass it as a gift to me.

Blackberry has launched new BlackPad tablet along with their new operating system. But there is a minor fault that we don’t know the real name of this product we call it so because RIM have announced it. As they have announced it they called it professional tablets this means that it has established for the users that are already using the BlackBerry smart phones. This combination means the transfer of data on the bigger screen. This can be done using Bluetooth connection. Through all this we can’t say that playbook is only for the users of Blackberry. By its specifications we can know that it contains a 7 inch screen, 1GHz core CPU etc. Here are some more specifications of this product of Blackberry:

NookColor: eReader Game Changer

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Nook eReader from Barnes and Noble is considered to be the only competitor for Amazon Kindle DX and Amazon Kindle 3rd generation readers in the market. Without wasting time, the company has launched the 2nd generation Nook eReader named NookColor. These eReader are based on different approach and are a big step ahead.

When we compare the previous model of Nook and different models of Kindle with the latest NookColor we observe that the screen is big 7 inches and fully touch sensitive. The software is also improved and upgraded to Google Android Os 2.1 éclair. Although you cannot install ordinary Android application still some applications which are provided by Barnes and Noble are supported. Honestly that doesn’t make much difference because it is only a dedicated media reading device.

Reading Materials

As it is clear from the name that the eReader is related to reading which means that library is essential. Barnes and Noble have provided us almost 2 million reading different reading materials which cost $ 9.99 at maximum. They have also provided us ease of selection. We can read the books for some time before making our choice and purchasing the material. You can also subscribe magazines. A trail period of 14 days is provided for any magazine you like. This a great feature because now can check whether the book or magazine is suitable for you or not. The company has also promised his customers that they will provide downloadable Enhanced Nookbooks including illustrations.

What’s It Good For?

Although the main feature of eReaders is reading stuff still it provides its users entertainment like surfing on internet, get connected online through social networks, listening to your favorite music and playing many games. NookColor is closer to IPad and many tablets to some extend but the eReader is not a replacement of your notebook. You also have to carry a notebook along with any eReader device.

We easily understand the difference between models and devices by considering few stats such as:

Size

The screen size of 1st Gen Nook, iPad, 3rd Gen Kindle and Nook Color are 6” diagonal, 9.7” diagonal, 6” diagonal and 7” diagonal whereas Touch screen size of 1st Gen Nook, iPad and Nook Color are 3.5” color, 9.7” diagonal, and 7” diagonal correspondingly. Read the full story

The ever popular gadget is a very happening product, and that is why it deserves some spotlight. Every gadget is incomplete without its accessories and supplementary items. The Kindle too have created a lot of hype in the consumer market, and that prompted companies to manufacture newer accessories. The Kindles accessories make e-book reading even more enjoyable and easier. The following are the best Kindle covers, cases and accessories out there that consumers would want to know about.
