MagicJack has announced that it will soon be extending its no-monthly bill phone service to mobile users too. If you heard about a magic jack, it is a small USB device that allows computer owners with a broadband connection to take advantage of a low-cost VoIP phone service.

A smaller device will replace the existing jack, playing the role of a miniature GSM base station at home, called a femtocell. This allows cell phones that use GSM to make calls through the MagicJack femtocell, for free, within the premises of the house which can be as big as 3000 square feet.

Although it may be a good advancements but its still far behind what we all have been expecting from magic jack, i.e., using the service without having a computer switched on and connected in order to make and receive calls.
