Google Chrome OS will be available for download by end of next week (source). Since Google announced in July, 2009 that it is developing it’s own operating system, IT developers and enthusiasts in general are waiting for its launch date. Earlier some news pieces suggested that Google is expected to launch beta version of its long awaited Operating System (Chrome) sometime in early fall.
There is a lot of speculation about the features and bugs that will come in the new operating system. Providing driver support for large array of hardware would be one of the biggest challenge faced by developers at Google. Although It has dedicated a huge team of developers for development of hardware drivers, it is almost impossible to include all the hardware available out there. especially the legacy devices.
There are rumors that Google would expect the hardware manufacturers to provide drivers for their own hardware. If these rumors are true then Launch of Google Chrome OS would be a sure Flop. Manufacturers have no incentive to invest into driver development before widespread availability and acceptance of the new operating system

For many weeks, I have been exploring a lot, all three of the popular Web browsers, and thus reached some conclusions. This is not any kind of review in a way; it is just what I, as a layman, who never has less than three browser windows and many tabs open simultaneously, have observed.
When Chrome first came out, I liked it very much. With version 2.0.169.1 out, I like it today also all the same.
There are two simple reasons for my liking: Its speed and security. Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine is literary faster than fast. Only Apple‘s Safari even comes close to keeping up with Chrome. Others are nothing but a bunch of slowpokes.
Now, most of the times when you come through review articles with benchmarks the differences, in real life, are not really visible. That’s not the matter with Chrome vs. its competitors. If this was a NASCAR competition, it would be beating them to the checked flag by laps.
Chrome was the only browser hackers failed to crack in secs or minutes in the recently organized PWN2OWN hacker competition. Actually, Chrome never was busted.

Google, now day by day is becoming a nightmare for Microsoft. The forthcoming announcement of Google Chrome OS was like a atomic bomb for Microsoft Inc. It did hit Microsoft, where it hurts most. Here we take a look that what Google think about a Operating system to be:
Old but not Gold.
Google says about OS: “…the operating systems that browsers run on were designed in an era where there was no web.”
Reason : Microsoft Window is becomes a granny– it celebrated its 25th anniversary last November — and here the myth of Old is Gold goes wrong as the windows belongs to Dark Days B.I., or Before Internet.
Google, which is half in age than Microsoft’s Windows– it will turns 11 this September – shows the people that it’s a Net-centric firm, and know much better how to create an OS where the Web is the main application platform.
