BlackBerry Bold 9700

Posted on 25 October 2009

After an amazing response from the first BlackBerry bold handset, the second BlackBerry handset is being launched in the coming month. The name of this model is BlackBerry Bold 9700, which is likely to replace the BlackBerry Bold 9000.

Blackberry bold 9700 is an advanced development of BlackBerry Bold 9000. In other words it has combined features of 9000, 8900 and 8520 , having latest version of the BlackBerry OS installed in it.

Features Included

The common features of this phone include a 3.5G support, WiFi, GPS and a good quality media player and a camera. Moreover, it also has a 3.5mm audio socket and microSD expandable memory. The camera has autofocus, a flash and supports geo-tagging. However, the basic difference between 9700 and 9000 are its additional features like BlackBerry OS 5, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a small touchpad in place of the rollerball.

Additional Applications

It also has the capacity to install additional application through BlackBerry App World. It provides up to 5 hours talk time and 15 days standby time which is quite sufficient for a business user.

According to RIM, BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be widely available throughout the nation from November onwards.

Considering everything discussed above, we can easily conclude that its not at all bad phone at all and it has all the features that a regular or a business user requires. However, the bad part about RIM’s product is that they are just the modifications of the existing products. RIM should come up with something exciting and innovative in the upcoming years.
