This Is How Your Server Room Should Be!

A few days back I posted a story on worst server rooms. I think now it is time to share with you how a server room or data center should look like. I don’t know if these examples are practical or not but sure they look very beautiful. They surely reflect upon the personality of system administrators. This structured and neat cabling looks very professional. I would love to have a data center like this. I guess my hosting company sees this and follow to reduce the downtime.

Is This Your Server Room?

Now this is how your server room should never look like. These server rooms are disgrace for all they teach in IT Schools about structured cabling and redundancy. These pictures are collected over time from different websites, emails and friends. They are probably best examples of how not to setup your corporate server room. I don’t know how people get away with this but they do. The systems administrators should quit or be fired for being too lazy. BTW, Is this your server room?

Black Hole Created By Swiss-France Particle Accelerator Will Eat the Earth?

As final preparation for turning on the Swiss-France Particle Accelerator are underway, there is a growing concern among physics scientists and students that the collision of particles at near light speed can create a black hole that will start to suck-in the time and space around it. It will be matter of hours that the whole earth will be sucked into it. This Particle accelerator is 3 story tall and 27 kilometers long. So far this is world’s largest and most expensive particle accelerator.
